Previously in The Judge from Hell, viewers meet Kang Bit-na (played by Park), a vicious female judge who is known for her lack of empathy for people’s pain. What her colleagues are unaware of is that Bit-na has been possessed by the demon Justitia (played by Oh Na-ra), who was sent to Earth to drag 10 criminals back to hell.
In episode 3, Bit-Na mistakes Detective Da-on (played by Kim) to be a murderer and takes his life to send him to hell. However, the director of Hell, Bael (played by Shin Sung-rok), reprimands Bit-na for her mistake. He resurrects Da-on and instead alters Bit-na’s mission. Instead of 10, she must now send 20 murderers to hell within a year. Bit-na blames Da-on for the complications in her mission. Meanwhile, the latter who now knows her secret, attempts to bring her truth to the light. But, with no physical evidence to support his allegations, his goal seems difficult. Elsewhere, Bit-na and her assistant, Man-do (played by Kim In-kwon), visit a cafe and cross paths with Gremory (played by Kim A-young), the judge of Fake Hell. While Gregory pledges her allegiance to Bit-na, her intentions remain unclear. Later, Bit-na looks over a new case of a family’s car accident. While the mishap results in the father’s death, the custody battle between the child’s mother, Bae Ja-yeong, and the paternal grandmother, Jang Sun-hui, and the mention of a sum of insurance money is what catches Bit-na’s attention. In the final moments of the episode, Bit-na investigates the case further. Ja-yeong turns out to be the culprit involved in her husband’s murder. As the episode ends, the latter plans to drown the child Ji-ho and flees with him.
In episode 4, Bit-na shows her true power as a judge from Hell and draws Ja-yeong to the scene of her judgement. She then masterfully plays with her mind and forces her to confess her crimes. Once done, Bit-na punishes Ja-yeong and makes her endure the same torment she had inflicted upon her dead husband. The episode ends with Bit-na sending Ja-yeong to hell and later facing a police inquiry related to Ja-yeong’s mysterious murder. Meanwhile, Da-on shifts to an apartment opposite Bit-na’s, to keep a close eye on her next moves.
In the upcoming episodes 5 and 6, viewers can expect the show to delve deeper into Da-on and Bit-na’s intertwined fates.
